School Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Augusta, ME

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Augusta, ME. As a key member of the school community, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential by fostering fine motor skills, sensory processing, and independence within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students across diverse learning environments.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and colleagues to promote student progress and success.
  • Implement therapeutic activities designed to enhance students' academic abilities and functional skills.
  • Monitor and document student progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of meaningful student goals.
  • Educate school staff and families on effective strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs within the classroom and home settings.
  • Adhere to all applicable occupational therapy regulations and ethical standards within school settings.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Maine Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
  • Prior experience working in a school environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and developmental milestones.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative school environment.
