Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students in various educational settings.
  • Conduct evaluations to identify student needs and develop customized intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
  • Implement therapeutic activities aimed at improving students' academic and functional skills.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist in establishing student objectives.
  • Provide guidance to school personnel and families on supporting students' occupational therapy requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational therapy standards and regulations within educational contexts.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Maine Occupational Therapist license.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy and developmental benchmarks.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic educational environment.
