Job Description

The Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional service to students by processing and verifying financial aid applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including student files and computer databases.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless processes and efficient operations.
  • Stay current with changing regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, business, finance).
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial aid, preferably in a post-secondary education setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
