About the Role
The CT Technologist in Diagnostic Center at Riverside Health System is responsible for performing CT exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. This role requires a high degree of safety and quality, with a focus on preventing or reducing harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, and protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ALARA principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures, selecting the proper protocol to obtain optimal images and providing clinical documentation per scope of practice. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation. Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
Requirements
1 year CT experience (Preferred). Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT) Registry - Upon Hire (Required). CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) - Upon Hire (Required). Weekend Shifts. Work/Float in more than one work location.
