Position Overview:
As the Events and Banquet Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the comprehensive operations of our banquet and event services.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Oversee Food & Beverage Operations: Ensure the flawless execution of all food and beverage services, including setup, teardown, and presentation of various functions, such as conferences, special events, and meal functions, in alignment with the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and schedule banquet and events personnel to ensure exceptional client satisfaction and professionalism. Provide continuous feedback and coaching to maintain high performance standards.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Act as a key communication link between Banquet Operations and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and meet guest expectations.
  • Client Support: Be available to assist staff and clients in resolving any issues or conflicts, thereby maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Facility Maintenance: Supervise the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and conference facilities to ensure they are always in optimal condition.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure that all operations comply with state laws and regulations regarding the management of alcoholic beverages.
  • Policy Adherence: Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures related to human resources, payroll, purchasing, and accounting.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in banquet or event management.
  • A minimum age of 21 years.
  • Required certifications, including Food Handler Permit and Tips Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of group business, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in basic office equipment and computer software related to hotel management and catering.
  • Understanding of health and safety management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A friendly and accommodating demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive guest information in compliance with privacy regulations.

Work Schedule:
Shifts may vary, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.

Working Conditions:
This role may involve high-pressure situations due to business volume and requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
