Job Title: Contract Program Auditor

Job Summary:

The County of Los Angeles, CA is seeking a highly skilled Contract Program Auditor to join our team. As a Contract Program Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting program evaluation audits of hospitals, day-care centers, and related health facilities to ensure compliance with County contracts for various health-related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections during on-site visits and evaluations of each special area of contracted services, including staff qualifications, licensure, insurance coverage, and charting procedures.
  • Identify possible areas of non-compliance with contractual terms and provide consultative services to facility administrators regarding deficiencies.
  • Prepare and present reports of audits and negotiate a plan for correction of deficiencies in compliance with the agency management.
  • Manage assigned contracts, including monitoring expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance, preparing budget modifications, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting data requirements.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) years' experience in an administrative or staff capacity assisting in the planning, developing, monitoring, evaluating, or auditing of health or social service contracts or programs at the level of Los Angeles County classes of Administrative Assistant III or higher.
  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional experience beyond the Selection Requirements.
  • Experience preparing and presenting oral and written reports related to compliance detailing deficiencies and discrepancies requiring corrective action.
  • Experience conducting inspections and analysis of contracts and documentation to determine contractor or vendor compliance with administrative, programmatic/service, and billing and payment contractual provisions, County policies, and State and federal laws and regulations.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $79,000 - $107,390.16 annually, depending on experience. The County of Los Angeles offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
