Job Overview: The Restaurant Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of the establishment, ensuring that exceptional customer service and high-quality food products are consistently delivered in the absence of the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of approximately three to fifteen staff members.
- Provide comprehensive on-the-job training to all team members.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of all supplies to minimize waste and theft.
- Assist in supervising food preparation, sales, and service.
- Forecast and estimate food item requirements for each shift.
- Ensure that every customer receives outstanding service.
- Oversee delivery operations to enhance efficiency and speed.
- Conduct daily food preparation tasks, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and auditing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all operational systems and procedures.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and supplies.
- Execute additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages, is essential. Familiarity with personal computers and software such as Excel and Word is required.
The role demands physical capabilities including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment: The work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
