About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at Developmental Concepts, Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, communities, and centers.

About the Job:

  • Maintain accurate knowledge of each individual's health, medical needs, and service plans.
  • Deliver tailored interventions to meet the unique needs of each participant by developing adaptive skills and addressing maladaptive behaviors.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with participants' families, physicians, and relevant officials regarding therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of weekly paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Gather data and document service requirements on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate participant progress and implement new interventions as necessary to address changing needs.
  • Understand and adhere to established rules and regulations set forth by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
  • Complete annual training requirements as determined by DCI's Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a Human Services Field (e.g., healthcare, social services, education, behavioral science, or counseling) from a nationally accredited college or university is mandatory.
  • At least one year of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities is required, which can be gained through paid employment, university practicum experience, or internship.
  • Completion of a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician Course (RBT) provided by DCI or holding a current Habilitative Intervention (HI) Certificate is essential.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior completion of a pre-employment criminal history background check.
  • CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
