Pediatric Urology Specialist

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a board-certified or eligible Pediatric Urologist to enhance our medical team. MUSC stands as the leading tertiary referral center and academic teaching hospital in South Carolina, providing care to a diverse patient population across a wide geographic area.
In 2020, MUSC Children's Health inaugurated the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 100,000 square feet with 250 beds. Our institution is dedicated to transforming care for mothers, infants, and children in the region. Alongside our highly regarded clinical services, MUSC hosts the Charles P. Darby Research Institute, a prominent pediatric clinical research center that fuels our commitment to innovation in healthcare.
The MUSC Children's R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion features a range of specialty clinics, outpatient surgical services, diagnostic imaging, infusion procedures, and essential support services such as laboratory and pharmacy, all conveniently located. This pediatric-focused medical pavilion and ambulatory surgery center is designed exclusively for children, ensuring hassle-free access and parking.
Pediatric Urology operates within MUSC's Department of Urology, collaborating with all pediatric-focused providers as part of MUSC Children's Health. Our services encompass a comprehensive array of offerings, including prenatal consultations, inpatient and outpatient consultations, and various surgical procedures. Our Urology Residency Program comprises 15 residents and 2 fellows.
Ideal Candidates:
- Completion of a Medical Doctorate, urology residency, and subsequent fellowship is required.
- Pediatric Subspecialty certification by the American Board of Urology is mandatory.
Opportunity Details:
- Responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient clinical duties.
- Full support from MUSC's Pediatric Nephrology Division and Department of Urology.
