This full-time role involves working nights, including on-call duties, holidays, and weekends.

Shift Details

The position requires a commitment to a 3-12 hour shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating surgical procedures by:

  • Preparing and providing the necessary sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintaining a sterile environment and proactively addressing the needs of the surgical team.
  • Assembling required supplies and equipment for various procedures.
  • Ensuring the organization and sterility of the surgical field.
  • Disinfecting and cleaning instruments and equipment as required.
  • Assisting in the sterile processing department when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, sharp instruments, and chemicals.
  • Commitment to compliance with AAAHC standards and OrthoVirginia policies.
