Job Title: Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a skilled Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician to join our team for a travel job in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Job Summary:

As an Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons and nurses, maintaining sterile conditions, and transporting patients to and from surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of the operating room, including setup and organization of equipment and supplies
  • Assistance to surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining sterile conditions
  • Transportation of patients to and from surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Maintenance of accurate records and reports, including patient information and surgical procedure details
Requirements:
  • Nationally Certified in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute Surg Tech experience
  • Trauma Experience preferred, but not required
  • Travel experience preferred, but not required
