Job Overview

The Equipment Lubrication Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a wide range of machinery through effective lubrication practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the lubrication and upkeep of various heavy machinery, including Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Scrapers, and Loaders.
  • Conducting diagnostics and executing preventive maintenance on all operational equipment.
  • Applying grease to booms, pulleys, buckets, and other essential components of heavy machinery.
  • Ensuring proper lubrication of moving parts in automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Performing tasks efficiently and safely in both workshop and outdoor construction environments.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of service vehicles, ensuring they are always ready for operation.
  • Promoting a culture of safety by adhering to established procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.
  • Exhibiting strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrating adaptability by working collaboratively with team members and independently managing tasks.
Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: This position typically requires prior experience as a Lube Technician. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred. Candidates must be able to comprehend work instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Providing safety support and collaborating with Health and Safety Personnel.
  • Assisting in the development and interpretation of plans and specifications.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Employees may encounter high noise levels, grease, and dust typical of construction sites.
  • Regular exposure to heavy machinery and moving equipment is expected.
  • Work may involve handling substances commonly found on construction sites, such as oils, greases, fuels, and concrete.
Physical Demands

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Constant physical activity, including standing, is required during a standard work shift of at least eight hours. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Frequent overhead work with hands, often while using hand power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for handling generators, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Maintaining alertness to multiple concurrent activities on the construction site, including the actions of other workers and the operation of equipment.
  • Regularly walking on uneven surfaces, including natural ground under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain balance while working on various surfaces.
