Job Title: Director Quality

Job Summary:

Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality to lead our quality and safety initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality professionals to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and address quality and safety concerns.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, quality improvement, nursing).
  • 5+ years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of quality professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with hospital leadership, medical staff, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification.
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
