Professor of Agribusiness Management

We are seeking a highly qualified Open Rank Professor to join our team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining nationally and internationally recognized research and teaching programs in areas such as agribusiness management, supply chain management, food and fiber manufacturing and distribution systems, value-added agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agribusiness management, including decision-making, supply chain management, financial and investment analysis, production and cost management, human resource management, planning, and risk assessment and management.
- Conduct high-quality research in agribusiness management, with a focus on developing and maintaining a nationally and internationally recognized research program.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams and provide program leadership, as well as support unit recruitment efforts and the IANR science literacy initiative.
- Engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and contribute to the instructional mission of the college.
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field at the time of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate level classes commensurate with the appropriate rank of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research commensurate with the appropriate rank of hire.
- Experience and/or interest in Agribusiness Management and related areas of research and teaching.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exhibited ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and provide program leadership.
- Demonstrated excellence in graduate and undergraduate student mentoring.
- Demonstrated experience with or participation in curriculum development at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Experience with grants and/or external funding.
- Agribusiness industry experience.
