Job Title: Cyber Systems Engineer Senior Technical Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Engineer Senior Technical Specialist to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support in the areas of Cyber Security and Management to improve the Information Assurance (IA) posture of a National customer.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a small team of project managers and developers to ensure successful implementation of Splunk.
  • Work closely with the cyber operations group and act as the liaison between the group and developers to ensure Splunk requirements are understood and being met.
  • Provide assessments to the customer on the cybersecurity contractor's program performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver acquisition artifacts to assist the customer in assessing contractor's performance.
  • Assist in the development of execution reviews, acquisition roadmaps, and transition plans.
  • Develop briefings and artifacts for acquisition Readiness Reviews.
  • Provide technical recaps of customer meetings with cybersecurity contractors.
  • Work closely with the customer Lead and stakeholders to execute contracts.
  • Provide technical input for the development of acquisition documentation for review and approval by the customer.
  • Assist in the development, review, and update of acquisition documents to ensure guidance for acquisitions are adequate and current.
  • Assess contractor performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements.
  • Assist in the development of technical requirements.
  • Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
  • Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provide recommendations for closing gaps.
  • Develop strategies to comply with privacy and risk management requirements.
Qualifications:
  • 12 to 15 years with BS or 10 to 13 years with MS or 8 to 10 years with PhD.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Able to support customer's core hours (Mon – Fri).
  • DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM.
  • Experience with cyber operations.
  • Experience supporting project management and acquisitions.
  • Experience with customer's Cybersecurity Processes and tools/capabilities to include Splunk.
  • Experience in requirements analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Excel and other database applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to support Group Level GPOCs.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision.
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced IA certification (i.e. CISSP or CASP).
  • Experience briefing senior customer personnel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous customer requests in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with the RMF process.
  • Experience supporting IC or DoD in the Cyber Security Domain.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
