Job Summary

The Courtyard by Marriott Houston Northeast - Generation Park, TX is seeking a skilled Bistro Cook to join our team. As a Bistro Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests in a timely and efficient manner.

This is a Full Time - hourly Hospitality / Restaurant job in Houston, Texas, and is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and plated in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Assist in menu planning, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory levels to meet demand.
  • Uphold the company's brand standards by consistently providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Keep work stations and kitchen area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of bistro-style cuisine and an understanding of different cooking techniques.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
