Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the strategy for the Global Security and Compliance division.
  • Oversee the development of security solutions tailored to align with corporate objectives and industry standards.
  • Manage financial resources for Security and Compliance projects, including capital and operational budgets.
  • Engage with vendors, ensuring contract negotiations and deliverables are met effectively.
  • Foster strong partnerships with business leaders and vendor collaborators.
  • Lead a diverse team of full-time employees, contractors, and managed service providers.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor Security and Compliance initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Continuously improve processes and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in security technologies and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), runbooks, project plans, High-Level Design (HLD), and Low-Level Design (LLD).
  • Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and requirements documentation.
  • Provide guidance, accountability, and mentorship to cultivate high-performing teams.
  • Enhance team performance through individual development and effective recruitment and management of engineers.
  • Participate in the exploration of technological solutions to support new initiatives.
  • Oversee lifecycle management, maintenance contracts, licensing, and inventory control of all system assets.
  • Manage security alerts and incidents, ensuring prompt response and resolution, along with incident response protocols.
  • Direct security architecture for solutions and influence cross-functional partners and IT leadership.
  • Communicate security risks effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Lead incident response efforts during security breaches or incidents.
  • Understand and articulate current security trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on security engineering, architecture, and operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity with escalating responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in planning, implementing, and managing Security and Compliance initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Threat and Vulnerability Management, encryption, SIEM, and EDR.
  • Strong organizational and management capabilities; adept at managing teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with a strong strategic mindset and successful project execution.
  • Experience in designing and constructing security systems.
  • Proficient in managing complex, multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and delivery.
