We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Batch Plant Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing all aspects of plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.
- Perform general plant maintenance and repairs, including routine maintenance tasks such as greasing, checking oil levels, and shoveling under conveyors and spillage areas.
- Operate equipment including skid loaders, plant trucks, and other machinery as required.
- Communicate current job information with contractors and drivers.
- Maintain plant files/records and cash flow.
- Basic computer skills.
- Solid mechanical skills to perform general maintenance.
- Ability to operate plant equipment.
- General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operation.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, Saturdays, and night shift.
- Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Sit, stand, walk, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, bend, kneel, reach, grasp, squat, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Work in confined spaces and wear respiratory and other personal protective equipment as required.
