Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and medical problems. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and medical problems
  • Lead the interdisciplinary team supporting PrairieCare's treatment programs and philosophy
  • Assure the delivery of quality treatment to adults, adolescents, children, psychiatric, and substance use disorder patients, and their families
  • Conduct individual and family therapy
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Ability to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance
  • Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychology
  • Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation
