Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert capability in one or more areas of software development, business and data analysis or project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Strategy Development
    • Assist management in developing short-term and long-term IT strategy.
  • Analysis and Recommendations
    • Analyze and make recommendations regarding new or enhancements to existing IT solutions.
  • Business Acumen
    • Demonstrate sound business, technical and fiscal judgment on behalf of the department and company.
  • Mentorship and Coaching
    • Provide mentorship and coaching to less experienced staff within function.
  • Software Development Lifecycle
    • Manage the full software development lifecycle.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with HR leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
    • Manage relationships with commercial software support partners.
    • Aid in defining, documenting and managing project scope, goals, priorities, deliverables and timelines.
    • Lead crucial conversations during design, build, and implementation with various business stakeholders and peers from other cross-functional teams.
  • IT Solutions Development
    • Assist in the design, development, integration, implementation, and support of IT solutions supporting Carpenter's Human Resources department.
  • Project Management
    • Fluent in SDLC methodology and develops project plans accordingly.
    • Meet project milestones and deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and Training
    • Write functional specification based on business requirements for development objects.
    • Assist business users to create and execute scripts to test business functionality.
    • Create end user training documentation, business process procedures, training plans, and helps deliver user training.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Drive timely resolution of assigned issues through their entire life-cycle – Inception to Closure.
  • HR Application Configuration
    • Configure HR applications in response to defined business requirements.
  • Software Change Requests
    • Assist business users with activities related to software change requests.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.

Requirements

  • Education
    • B.S. degree in computer science or related field or a combination of business-related functional experience, education, or related certifications with experience.
  • Experience
    • Fifteen or more years of Information Technology experience.
    • Minimum 6 years of related experience with Workday, UKG Workforce Central/Pro, and/or other relative system experience.
  • Skills
    • Workday integration design and development experience.
    • UKG functional and configuration experience.
    • Demonstrated business knowledge or experience for specific functional area.
    • Highly effective communication / presentation skills.
    • Strong collaboration skills and comfortable working in a team environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
    • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.
