Astronomy Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach introductory astronomy courses at Truckee Meadows Community College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Astronomy or Physics and a passion for teaching and learning.

• Teach introductory astronomy courses, including AST 104
• Assess student learning and stay current in the field of astronomy
• Use current technology and maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct
• Actively refer students to supportive college resources and complete professional development

• Master's degree in Astronomy or Physics from a regionally accredited institution
• Desire to work in a diverse academic environment with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds
