Astronomy Instructor

Truckee Meadows Community College is seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach introductory astronomy courses. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Astronomy or Physics and a passion for teaching and learning.

• Teach introductory astronomy courses, including AST 104
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Stay current with developments in the field of astronomy
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve student outcomes
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

• Master's degree in Astronomy or Physics from a regionally accredited institution
• Experience teaching introductory astronomy courses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
