Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Mercy Health System. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room, including setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a vigilant eye for maintaining the sterile field.
- Participate in department performance improvement activities and assist in training new personnel.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA preferred.
