About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Mercy Health System. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, including setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist the surgical team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
  • Participate in patient care by ensuring quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including cleaning the operating room and assisting with patient preparation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA preferred.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
