Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement individualized activities programs for residents
  • Oversee residents' participation and advocate for their needs, preferences, interests, and rights
  • Participate in meetings, including resident council meetings, family council meetings, and department head meetings
  • Maintain records and reports related to activities
  • Promote positive relationships with individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community
Qualifications:
  • Completed a training course approved by the State (Activity Director Certification Services)
  • 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years
  • Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation (preferred) or related field or 90-hr. course for activity professionals and continuing education
