Role Summary

As a Class A Truck Operator, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our products. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, inspecting goods for quality, and managing inventory for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect necessary documentation and prepare for loading additional products as required.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Deliver products to clients, confirming order accuracy upon delivery.
  • Obtain customer signatures or process payments for cash-on-delivery transactions.
  • Retrieve products from vendors, ensuring accuracy in orders.
  • Complete post-trip inspections upon returning to the facility.
  • Safely operate equipment, including manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and vehicles.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Manage a typical route with 7-15 stops daily.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Proven ability to operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with licensing requirements.
  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.
  • Capability to accurately complete manifests, credit notes, inspection sheets, and driver logs.
  • Willingness to work during holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and manage product handling.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, walk, carry, lift, push, pull, and stoop as needed.
  • Knowledge of various produce types and quality assessment is advantageous but not mandatory.
