KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
  • Operate various heavy equipment, including but not limited to 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
  • Ensure timely and safe deliveries.
  • Prepare Haz-Mat and Non-Haz manifests accurately.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA regulations, daily ELD logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of the response vehicle and assigned truck.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping and custodial tasks as required.
  • Respond to 24/7 Emergency Response calls while on standby.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Other reasonable tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Participate in the Random Drug Testing Program.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Current California Class B Commercial Driver License is required; Class A is preferred.
  • Driving record must meet company standards with a current DMV printout.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation is required.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in hazardous waste management and environmental services is preferred.
  • All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment requirements:
    • Physical examination including drug and alcohol screening
    • Background check in accordance with local laws and regulations

  • Ability to pull/push 50 lbs. unassisted regularly.
  • Frequent twisting and turning of the body in various motions.
  • Capability to lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted regularly.
  • Frequent typing and data entry tasks.
  • Utilization of industrial cleaning and heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to varying environmental temperatures and weather conditions.

Compensation: $26 - $33 per hour

Compensation for this position will vary based on qualifications, experience, competencies, and skills.
