Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses within the Digital Arts BFA program at New York Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Animation, Visual Effects, and Virtual Production, with expertise in relevant software and technologies.
Responsibilities
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Digital Compositing and Visual Effects, Portfolio Development for Digital Artists, 3D Modeling and Animation, 2D Animation, Virtual Production, and emerging technologies like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in Animation, Visual Effects, Digital Arts, and virtual production. Strong communication and teaching abilities are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing animation, VFX, and/or virtual production work. Expertise in relevant software and technologies, such as Maya, Nuke, Unreal Engine, and motion capture, is also required. Familiarity with teaching in a classroom or online environment is a plus. What We Offer
The Adjunct Faculty member will be offered an hourly rate contingent on applicable rank. The annual base salary range for this position is listed, and the university considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
