About the Position:
New York Institute of Technology is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach writing courses at the college level. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in English or a related field and experience teaching writing courses.
Responsibilities:
- Teach first-year composition, professional, and technical writing courses
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to teaching composition in fully online learning environments
- Use online learning platforms (Canvas) to deliver courses
- Participate in orientation to teaching technologies, as needed, before the start of the semester
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in English or a related field
- Teaching experience in writing courses
- Work experience in professional and technical writing (a plus)
- Familiarity with online learning platforms (Canvas)
