Job Opportunity

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Adjunct Paramedic Instructor in the Paramedicine program. This position requires teaching EMS courses, instructing students using various modalities, and evaluating student progress. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining program accreditation requirements, preparing documentation, and attending advisory committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach EMS courses and instruct students using a variety of instruction modalities
  • Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives
  • Evaluate student progress and ensure safety and security requirements are met
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment
  • Develop teaching methods and maintain management procedures and documentation
  • Meet with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and other issues
  • Respond to administrative requests and assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
  • Maintain program accreditation requirements and ensure compliance with state standards

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in Georgia as a Paramedic or RN, RRT, NP, PA, or MD/DO
  • Current licensure in Georgia as an Instructor/Coordinator (Paramedic)
  • Associate Degree or higher from an accredited academic institution
  • Current NREMT certification
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications
  • Completed Teaching Internships for EMS Instructor/Coordinator requirements
  • Completed an approved EMS Instructional Preparation Curriculum Prep Course within the previous three years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary teaching experience
