About the Role:
- Conducts thorough patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for accurate registration and billing purposes.
- Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and calculates patient liability according to financial clearance policies.
- Negotiates payment arrangements with patients and advises on deposit requirements per policy.
- Assists patients with navigating hospital facilities and provides directions, personal escort, and medical mobility assistance when necessary.
Requirements:
- 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency required.
- Proven listening, interpersonal, and communication skills, with professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in high-stress environments and effectively communicate with patients during traumatic events.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent data entry skills, and basic computer proficiency.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
