Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Nursing Attendant to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist in implementing the nursing process by performing direct and indirect patient care to assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Maintaining a Safe Environment: Assist in maintaining an orderly and safe patient care environment and unit.
  • Performing EKG and Phlebotomy: Perform EKG and venous phlebotomy as needed.
  • Assisting with Patient Procedures: Assist with removal and security of patient personal items, assembling traction apparatus, and moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients.
  • Documenting Patient Information: Take and electronically record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, at least twice a day and as directed by the RN.
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service: Respond to and meet patient/family needs and customer concerns as soon as possible with compassion and understanding.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma Required.
  • Experience: 1+ years relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills.
