We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Patient Care Infusion. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in preparing customized medications for patients requiring infusion therapies.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately compound sterile injectables, IV medications, and non-sterile formulations such as topical creams, oral solutions, and more.
- Maintain and calibrate compounding equipment, including scales and electronic meters.
- Ensure sterile environments meet cleanliness and safety standards in accordance with USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and FDA 503A guidelines.
- Handle both hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all compounding procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist in Charge and other team members to ensure quality care is delivered to patients.
- Strong knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and other pharmacy compounding guidelines.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and safety.
- Proficiency in pharmacy calculations and medical terminology.
- Ability to work with delicate equipment and wear full protective gear (mask, gloves, lab coat, etc.).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- PTCB Certification and Arizona State Pharmacy Technician License (active and in good standing).
- Minimum of 1 year of compounding experience (sterile and non-sterile) preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP guidance and FDA regulations is a plus.
The role is performed in a sterile clean room, where you'll handle both sterile and non-sterile compounds, including hazardous substances. This requires wearing full protective gear and standing for extended periods. Patient Care Infusion provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety while working in this environment.

You'll also receive paid time off (PTO) accrual starting from day one, up to 2 weeks of PTO in the first year.
