Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing invasive cardiovascular procedures to produce high-quality examinations.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepares and sets up the Cath Lab for procedures, organizing sterile areas, instruments, and equipment according to established procedures and standards.

* Reviews patient, physician, and procedure requirements to assess set-up, equipment, and supply needs, communicating with the procedural team to ensure thorough preparedness.

* Performs diagnostic cardiology and electrophysiology procedures and imaging, determining proper radiologic technique and positioning to ensure optimal results.

* Maintains equipment, performing regular calibration and maintenance, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure continuous proper and safe operations.

* Finalizes procedures, including archival storage of images, patient radiographic data, and records according to Cardiologist and departmental specifications.

* Maintains professional and technical competency through ongoing education and self-improvement, staying current with literature, practices, and new developments in diagnostic imaging and pediatric/congenital invasive cardiology and electrophysiology.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

* Completion of a cardiovascular technology program or equivalent experience.

* Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist or equivalent.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
