Construction Field Technician

Q3 Contracting, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Field Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various construction tasks, including but not limited to framing, roofing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Construction Field Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement construction plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to peers, customers, employees, or the public.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to drive on a stop and start basis daily and continually, getting in and out of trucks and/or equipment multiple times during the course of the day.
- Standing, walking including and primarily on uneven surfaces, turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking, and hearing are required continuously.
- Close vision is required for some functions and distance and peripheral vision is required for safety.
Work Environment:
- Employee will be subjected to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electric shock and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment can often be loud.
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving traffic in the work environment.
Other Conditions:
- Adhere to all company policies, rules, and regulations as stated in the Company Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state in which the primary work functions are performed.
- Be available for occasional weekly shifts of emergency after-hours and emergency weekend on-call duties.
- Must present a professional image at all times, representing self and company in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner when dealing with customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
