Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers, adhering to established protocols.
- Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by medical staff.
- Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
- Enter demographic data into the computer system upon patient check-in and update diagnosis and departing time when patients are released.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
