Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers, adhering to established protocols.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by medical staff.
  • Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Enter demographic data into the computer system upon patient check-in and update diagnosis and departing time when patients are released.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
