Senior CMM/Quality Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CMM/Quality Specialist to join our team at Franklin Electric. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining CMM programs using Calypso software.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate coordinate measuring equipment to make complex, precise measurements of materials.
- Read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and layouts for product specifications.
- Interpret inspection results, compare them to established specifications and/or control limits, complete necessary technical reports, and make recommendations for product release or corrective action.
- Liaise with engineering and other production staff as required to troubleshoot, research, and solve technical problems.
- Conduct analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, part samples, finished goods, or process samples.
- Identify and select gaging appropriate to part features and available tolerances.
- Interface with suppliers to resolve inspection findings.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Requirements
- 5+ years programming experience with CALYPSO CAD-based CMM software.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, fixtures, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T.
- Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers and/or customers.
- Works with mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
Education and Experience
- Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
