Job Summary

The Senior Practice Assistant for Infusion Services will ensure efficient daily operation of the Ambulatory Infusion Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital's Main Campus in Boston, 850 Boylston in Chestnut Hill, and other locations as determined.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes for the department.
  • Partnership with Prior Authorization team to ensure maintenance of patient insurance approvals for scheduled appointments.
  • Lead initiatives to create a high level of customer service by working closely with all staff and providers to create the ideal patient experience and environment.
  • Meet and greet patients regularly, throughout the day.
  • Ensure Patient Information Area is properly maintained as a resource for patients.
  • Support Practice Manager and Practice Coordinator on development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and new projects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and promote administrative and employee policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Clinical Operations and Scheduling experience preferred, ideally within Infusion or in Ambulatory Healthcare Practice Environment.
Working Conditions

Works in a Hospital-based Ambulatory Practice. Normal patient environments where there are some exposures to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, needle, and blood products.
