Job Description

Overview

The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for handling full lifecycle recruitment for all positions at Greater Lynn Senior Services. This includes collaborating with hiring managers to develop or revise job descriptions as necessary, establishing required competencies for vacant positions, and performing searches and strategies to attract candidates for GLSS positions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop or revise job descriptions as necessary and to establish required competencies for vacant positions.
  • Prescreen job applicants utilizing the applicant tracking system and review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Oversee Agency hiring practices to ensure consistency and legality of hiring practices as well as compliance with EEO and Affirmative Action laws.
  • Conduct interviews and make recommendations for hire.
  • Perform reference checks, required background, and pre-employment checks for new hires.
  • Perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Five (5) years of direct recruiting experience in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Direct experience placing job advertisements on internet job boards and utilizing social media to attract candidates.
  • Ability to navigate HRIS system, applicant tracking system, and other relevant systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential information.
  • High level of computer skills, including the ability to work with Microsoft Office Products (MS Excel spreadsheets).
  • Highly motivated and flexible with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to interact with others (employees, applicants, and community organizations) with positive professionalism.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with people via email, in-person, on Zooms, or by phone.
  • Ability to come into the office in Lynn regularly for in-person interviews.
  • Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation to attend recruiting, networking, and other community events.
