The Opportunity

As a Patient Care Specialist - Lab Services, you'll play a vital role in providing an exceptional experience for our patients. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality venipuncture services, handling extended scope duties, and maintaining impeccable standards of in-office care. You'll work closely with our medical teams to ensure seamless communication and provide top-notch support to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Assist with dispensary responsibilities, including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up
  • Care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
Requirements:
  • An active phlebotomy certification to practice in WA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
