Technical Support Specialist I

The Technical Support Specialist I at CRI Advantage plays a crucial role within the Field Services division, directly reporting to the Field Services Supervisor. This position is essential for delivering critical assistance in diagnosing and resolving challenges associated with computer hardware, software, and peripherals at the desktop and laptop levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute Return-to-Service (RTS) operations
  • Deliver on-site break-fix incident support and fulfill service requests
  • Install and uninstall software, hardware, computers, and peripherals as required
  • Image and re-image both new and existing computers
  • Update asset tracking in partnership with other departments
  • Provide device support for a variety of equipment including desktops, laptops, tablets, and more
  • Maintain a repository of common resolution techniques for Windows
  • Engage in root cause analysis with Tier 3 teams
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure technicians can effectively perform their duties
  • Verify the functionality of non-standard hardware and software
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of Technical Support experience
  • Proficiency in utilizing computers and related technologies
  • Strong customer service capabilities
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tier 1 Apple certifications
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Experience with Linux platforms
Essential Functions:

The Technical Support Specialist I must demonstrate physical, mental, and emotional endurance to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. This includes manual dexterity, adequate vision, hearing, and speaking abilities, along with emotional resilience to thrive in fast-paced and occasionally stressful environments. Physical agility, mobility, strength, and stamina are also vital for this position. Furthermore, the Specialist should possess the mental acuity to interpret data and resolve issues effectively.
