About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior OpEx Program Manager to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our Operational Excellence organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive operational excellence and improve results within our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop program vision, strategy, and program charter with guidance from leadership.
  • Overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project.
  • Program Monitoring & Reporting – Status Updates, risks, documentation, measure adoption as a leading indicator to full value realization.
  • Facilitate alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, collaborate across OI, site, and functions for successful execution.
  • Directs day-to-day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks, and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations.
  • Modify scope, content of program as required, prioritize individual projects.
  • Maintain healthy and active project pipeline to achieve goals in line with strategic plans and AOP.
  • Accountability for results to be achieved through influence.
  • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Communicates team progress.
  • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Performs cost and benefit analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with leaders, employees, and suppliers.
  • Lean Sigma Black or Green Belt or Certification in Lean Sigma training.
  • Ability to manage large internal teams.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter.
  • Strategic planning ability.
  • Results & Team oriented.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills that can convert analysis into strategies and tactical approaches.
  • Fosters collaboration/business partner approach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Highly developed skill set in project leadership practices including ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams without authority, and ownership of responsibility for outcomes.
  • Excellent downward, lateral, and upward communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects to completion.
  • Contributes innovative ideas that lead to positive business results, encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $136,800.00 - $205,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
