ROLE SUMMARY:

The Junior Merchandising Specialist for Kingsize plays a crucial role in assisting the Merchandise Manager/Senior Merchandise Manager across all stages of product selection and development, as well as analyzing key performance indicators for both catalog and online platforms within their designated area. This position also entails managing one or more product categories and providing guidance to Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandising Coordinators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate strategies, product assortments, and pricing in assigned categories through the analysis of historical performance, market trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Engage daily with Creative, E-Commerce, Planning, Global Sourcing, Domestic Vendors, and Technical Design teams to align merchandising goals and foster collaborative efforts.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis by reviewing catalogs and retail competitors to identify significant items and trends, proposing product development strategies to the Merchandise Manager/Senior Merchandise Manager.
  • Assist the Merchandise Manager/Senior Merchandise Manager in evaluating Key Performance Indicators and recommend action plans to optimize opportunities while mitigating risks, managing overall profitability.
  • Guide Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandising Interns in their professional development.
  • Support the Merchandise Manager/Senior Merchandise Manager with overarching responsibilities for the merchandising team as required.
  • Lead the assortment process in alignment with launch and promotional strategies.
  • Analyze current and past performance data to suggest improvements and adjustments aimed at maximizing sales.
  • Adhere to all deadlines in the merchandising book creation process; proactively identify issues and propose enhancements in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a focus on accuracy, ensuring all stakeholders have sufficient time to implement changes.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising and product development.
  • Experience in apparel (catalog and/or online) is preferred.
  • Experience with Men's Big and Tall is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively is required.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills are necessary.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
