About the Role

We're looking for an Automotive Parts Coordinator who can deliver exceptional customer service while efficiently managing our parts operations.

The estimated salary for this position is $58,000 - $68,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Assist customers in selecting required parts, provide expert advice and guidance, and inform them about companion part requirements and promotions.
  2. Phone Support: Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and product information to customers, and review body shop estimates to ensure accurate part selection and pricing.
  3. Inventory Management: Pull and fill orders from stock, notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or materials requiring immediate attention, and locate out-of-stock parts from external sources.
  4. Special Orders: Inform service advisors and customers when special-ordered parts arrive and follow up on back-ordered parts, resolving issues promptly.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Verify will-call and back-order files weekly, return items to vendors or stock them as needed, replenish assigned inventory daily, and assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
  6. Customer Communication: Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization, ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer, and that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
  7. Return Policy: Issue credit for parts returned, verifying original invoices or numbers for accurate pricing.
  8. Tool Management: Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians.
  9. Record-Keeping: Maintain orderly records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
  10. Order Setup: Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  11. Sales Outreach: Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
  12. Work Environment: Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered, and clean computer terminals and printers daily.
  13. Professional Development: Participate in all training programs available and stay current on new products and updates.
  14. Lost Sales Tracking: Collaborate with the parts manager to maintain a lost sales tracking program.
