Job Overview

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the scheduling activities of the production floor and shipping operations, collaborating closely with the Operations Planner and Plant Manager to adhere to established protocols.
  • Supervise all production scheduling tasks within your department to ensure timely loading and shipping of products.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, maintain inventory levels, and deliver high-quality products punctually.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding line issues, parts shortages, and engineering challenges.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members and management to strategize for daily, weekly, and monthly operations.
  • Continuously explore innovative solutions to problems while focusing on ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Support team leaders and members in implementing quality and productivity enhancements through continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with Human Resources functions, including employee recruitment, retention strategies, performance evaluations, and the enforcement of company policies.
  • Focus on developing systems for labor cost reduction while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Balance safety, quality, productivity, and employee morale to achieve optimal results across all areas.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience is necessary.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and quality assurance is essential.
  • Thorough understanding of team processes is expected.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
  • A background in production planning is preferred.
  • Adherence to all company safety policies is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with 5S and Rapid Improvement programs is advantageous.
  • Quality-driven mindset is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision.
  • Reports directly to a manager or supervisor.

This position is for the second shift, starting at 2:30 PM and concluding around 11:30 PM to 1:30 AM, depending on business needs.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $80,000 and $90,000, plus a 5% annual bonus and comprehensive benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
