About the Role

Takeda Pharmaceutical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Director to lead our Global DMPK&M department. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of DMPK project representatives and driving strategic initiatives to support the delivery of our pipeline across GI, Neuroscience, and Oncology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and PK/PD, with experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing DMPK&M strategies, supervising a team of project representatives, and acting as a project team representative and advisor for nonclinical information.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office and remote work. The successful candidate will be based in Boston, MA, and will be responsible for collaborating with partners across the organization, working across functions, regions, and cultures, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement DMPK&M strategies to support the delivery of our pipeline across GI, Neuroscience, and Oncology.
  • Supervise a team of project representatives and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Act as a project team representative and advisor for nonclinical information.
  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 16+ years of experience, or BS with 18+ years of experience.
  • Outstanding expertise and depth of knowledge within a scientific area, with well-developed knowledge of other scientific areas.
  • Ability to keep up with the latest scientific advancements and apply them to drive business success.
What We Offer

Takeda Pharmaceutical offers a competitive salary range of $169,000 - $266,200, depending on experience and qualifications.
