The Armed Security Guard is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, patients, property, and assets. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide armed security services to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, and other security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, monitoring video surveillance and alarm systems to ensure the security of doors, windows, and offices.
- Investigate alarms and other security breaches, detecting and responding to suspicious and criminal activity.
- Apprehend or detain suspects in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Write reports detailing observations, incidents, and patrol activities.
- Provide assistance to emergency responders as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Current Tennessee armed security license.
- Law enforcement background, military service, or 5 years of verifiable professional security experience required.
- Prior experience performing security in a corporate environment is preferred.
The physical requirements of this role include frequent standing, walking, running, and climbing. The ability to lift up to 60 lbs is also required. Professional appearance is essential at all times, and firearms must be concealed.
Work Environment:This role requires working in an air-conditioned building with frequent and disruptive noise, or working outdoors or in an air-conditioned vehicle. The employee will be exposed to intense or inadequate lighting, extreme temperatures, dust/dirt, and constant exposure to hazards and accidents.
Environmental, Health, and Safety:The employee will follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules set forth by the company.
