Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Admission Testing team at Mount Carmel Health System. As a PAT Nurse, you will play a critical role in optimizing patients for surgery by collecting data, collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components.
  • Provide clinical telephone triage and communication as defined by protocol or provider instructions.
  • Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards.
  • Assist providers with patient assessment, examinations, and treatments.
  • Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members.
  • Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a provider.
  • Administer medications under the direction of the provider, according to the organization's standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • One year of experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
  • Demonstrates skills and abilities in clinical and administrative areas.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and to make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills required.
