Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our Surgery Department at our King of Prussia, PA location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with surgeries and procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities- Assist Surgical Department in a variety of tasks, including preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia levels.
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Preform digital radiographs and process lab samples as needed.
- Ensure the availability and sterility of instrumentation, including autoclave maintenance and decontamination procedures.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting.
- Basic knowledge of small animal medicine and pharmacology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm and composed demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
