Job Title: Paraprofessionals

Job Summary: Focused Staffing is seeking a Paraprofessional to support our Special Education team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with multiple disabilities, including autism, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and developmental delays.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with instructional activities and provide individualized support to students
  • Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to promote positive student behavior
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Two-year associate degree required for Para-educators
  • Current PA state clearances (Police, Child Abuse and Fingerprinting)
  • Knowledge of Special Education regulations and procedures
  • Experience working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Positive, student-centered, and compassionate individual

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Special education experience: 1 year
  • Experience working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities: 2 years
  • Experience working with students with emotional challenges: 2 years
  • Experience working with students with developmental delays: 2 years
